If your client requires a chaperone to accompany them to their appointment please let the Stā Studios front of house team know. The studio has limited space for your clients to relax. If you anticipate clients bringing a chaperone to the studio please notify us in advance and we will endeavour to accommodate.

Is Stā Dog Friendly?

We are proud to be a dog-friendly studio and welcome your clients to bring their K9 companions with them. If your clients want to bring their doggy to Stā Studios, we kindly ask they are fully house trained, vaccinated and friendly with other dogs and people.

Client Refreshments

At Stā Studios, we offer a wide range of refreshments for clients to enjoy while in your chair. Each styling station has a QR code for your clients to scan an access the drinks menu, from hot beverages like tea, coffee, and hot chocolate to soft drinks like cokes and diet cokes, as well as alcoholic options such as beers, wine, prosecco, and a selection of cocktails. As a member, it is your responsibility to offer and make these drinks available to your clients during their appointments.

Is there a charge for client drinks?

To cover the cost of back bar stock, a £3 service charge is added to clients' bills, which if you take payment's via your slick account, is automatically routed to Stā at checkout, making the process effortless for you and your clients. Clients will also have the option to purchase a barista made drink from our in house coffee shop at the Stā discounted rate. Whilst we recommend you pass the £3 charge on to you client we understand if this is something you wish to cover as part of their appointment and we can charge for this at the end of your day at Stā.

Your clients personal belongings

The company will not accept any responsibility for the loss or damage (including clothing) to any personal belongings that your clients bring to Stā Studios.

While the Stā Studios team will always endeavour to keep your clients personal belongings safe and undamaged we cannot accept any responsibility for loss or damage of your personal possessions while on the premises. It is your responsibility to take every precaution possible to protect your clients clothes from colour, but we would advise you to ask them to wear something appropriate to avoid disappointment. High necklines and collars are best avoided. We highly recommend you ask your clients not to wear expensive clothing while getting your hair coloured at the salon.

Gowns

We provide gowns for our members to ensure the highest level of client care. As part of our commitment to cleanliness and hygiene, we kindly request that all members return used gowns to the designated laundry area and diligently rehang clean gowns in the cloakroom. Together, we can create a safe and comfortable environment for everyone.

Towels

Stā Studios is pleased to provide disposable towels for our members' use. These fully compostable towels are an eco-friendly alternative, and we kindly ask that you be mindful of consumption, using only what you genuinely need. Let's work together to reduce waste and preserve the environment while maintaining a clean and sustainable studio.

Skin Testing

At Stā Studios, it is the responsibility of each member to carry out skin tests for their clients before providing any relevant services. Skin testing is essential to ensure the safety and well-being of clients, as it helps identify any potential allergic reactions to products used during the service. We understand the importance of skin testing and are here to support our members in implementing this practice. For your convenience, we have included a skin testing policy in our recommended policies for members to follow, ensuring a professional and responsible approach to client care. Let's prioritise the safety and satisfaction of our clients by diligently adhering to this important procedure.

FOR YOUR CHAIR AND SPACE RENTAL

Personal Liability Insurance

As a fundamental requirement, all members of Stā Studios are obliged to maintain their own public liability insurance. It is the responsibility of each member to ensure that their insurance policy remains active and valid throughout their membership period. Members must also provide Stā Studios with a copy of their insurance certificate for documentation and compliance purposes. If assistance is needed in choosing a suitable insurance provider, we are more than happy to offer our recommendations to support our members in obtaining the appropriate coverage.

Time Keeping

Timekeeping is a vital aspect of our studio culture at Stā Studios. Members are responsible for adhering to the time they have booked to rent their styling chair, Stack'd chair, podcast room, or meeting room. If running late, it is crucial to communicate promptly with the membership manager to avoid impacting other members. Any exceeding of the allocated booking time will be chargeable as another hour of rental. Let's respect each other's time and maintain a smooth and efficient working environment.

House Keeping Rules

At Stā Studios, we value a clean and organised workspace. All members are responsible for cleaning up after themselves, leaving stations, meeting rooms, private studios, and podcast studios ready for the next member. This includes promptly sweeping up hair, removing equipment, and wiping down stations with the provided cleaning materials. Additionally, members are expected to tidy away any cups, glasses, or rubbish left by their clients, ensuring that cups and glasses are washed or placed in the dishwasher. Let's collectively maintain a tidy and welcoming environment for everyone's benefit.

After each booking, the rented areas will be checked by the studio manager. This is to ensure that everything is in proper condition and ready for the next member's use. Please cooperate with the studio manager during these checks to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and functionality in our shared spaces.

Your Booked Space

Sticking to your booked station or Stack'd chair is of utmost importance at Stā Studios. This practice ensures that equipment and clients remain contained within the designated area, preventing any inconvenience or interference with other members. By respecting these bookings, we promote a harmonious and productive atmosphere for everyone's creative endeavours. Let's keep our workspaces organised and honour the commitments we make to each other as members of this community.

Cancelling your Booking

At Stā Studios, we have a booking cancellation policy that requires members to provide a minimum of 48 hours' notice to avoid charges. If a cancellation is made within this timeframe, the full cost of the rental will be charged. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, so we have implemented a booking system capable of taking deposits and cancellation fees from clients to help mitigate financial losses beyond your control. To further support our members, we have also outlined our recommended policies to ensure a smooth and fair booking experience for everyone involved.

Pausing and / or cancelling your membership

In adherence to our membership policies,, here is further clarity regarding the pause option for our monthly memberships at Stā Studios. While we fully appreciate the significance of vacations, it's important to note that pausing memberships solely for holiday purposes is not available. The pause feature is specifically reserved for exceptional circumstances like extended illnesses, maternity or paternity leave, ensuring equitable treatment for all our valued members.

Should you opt for a temporary break, you can certainly proceed with canceling your membership by notifying us via email, with one month's notice. However, it's crucial to acknowledge that rejoining at a later date may not guarantee an immediate availability of membership slots.

Lockers and Personal belongings

Stā Studios is pleased to provide members with allocated lockers for storing their stock and equipment. These lockers are meant for members' convenience and organisation. However, it is essential to understand that Stā Studios does not accept responsibility for any loss or damage to personal belongings, including stock and equipment, stored in these lockers. We encourage all members to take appropriate precautions and ensure the security of their belongings at all times.

As part of your Stā Studios membership, you will be provided with one complimentary locker for your convenience, and should you require an additional locker, it is available for a monthly fee of £40, subject to availability.

Stā Studios cares about the comfort and convenience of our members. In addition to providing allocated lockers for storing stock and equipment, we also offer storage space in the team break room for coats and bags. We encourage members to utilise these designated storage areas to keep their belongings safe and organised during their time at the studio.

Your equipment

At Stā Studios, we emphasise that it is the responsibility of each member to maintain their equipment. This includes ensuring that all equipment is in proper working order, sterilised, and compliant with all compulsory guidelines. Additionally, members must promptly wash and put away colouring equipment, such as tint bowls and tint brushes, after use to maintain a clean and orderly workspace for everyone's benefit. Let's collectively uphold the highest standards of equipment maintenance and cleanliness within our studio.

Trolleys

Stā Studios offers salon trolleys for members to use during their booked time. Each member is permitted to use one trolley, and they are welcome to store their materials and equipment inside it. However, it is essential to remove all items and wipe down the trolley at the end of their booking to ensure a clean and organised space for the next member's use.

Drinks for members

At Stā Studios, we value the well-being and productivity of our members. To keep you caffeinated and hydrated, we offer complimentary coffee, tea, and filtered water from our drinks bar. Additionally, members can enjoy a discounted rate on drinks from our in-house coffee bar, ensuring you have all the refreshments you need while working in our studio. Stay energised and focused with our complimentary beverages and the convenience of our in-house coffee bar!

Working with your own assistant

Bringing your own assistant to Stā is possible when you opt for one of our private salon studios... Kindly note that this privilege is exclusive to members renting private salon studios and does not extend to those renting styling stations on the main salon floor.

For members renting styling stations, our Stā Assit'd Pack offers a practical solution to enjoy comparable support akin to having your own assistant. Subject to availability and with the use of a Stā Stack'd processing chair if you are seeing multiple clients at once.

To ensure a harmonious work environment, it's important that your chosen assistant receives approval from Stā's Membership Manager. Additionally, proof of their coverage on your liability insurance must be provided. These measures help us maintain the highest standards of professionalism and safety within our community.

SPACE SPECIFIC GUIDELINES

Showering at Stā

Stā Studios has provided a shower in one of the bathrooms for members who bike to work. To ensure a smooth experience for all, we kindly ask members using the shower to:

  • Shower quickly, considering it is one of the salon's two bathrooms, to avoid monopolising the space.

  • Leave the shower clean and free from hair.

  • Utilise the provided window blade to squeegee the shower door after use.

  • Bring your own towel and take it with you after your shower, ensuring it is not left in the bathroom.

  • Ensure the floor is dry before leaving the bathroom.

  • If you wish to do your hair and makeup, please use the team break room to avoid monopolising the bathroom.

Community Mezzanine

Stā Studios' community mezzanine is an exclusive members-only co-working space where you can focus on your business away from the styling chair. Feel free to utilise this space at your convenience, as there is no charge for its use. However, please remember that it is not an extension of the breakroom, so consuming food is not allowed here. Let's be considerate of fellow members who may be working or conducting digital consultations, and avoid interrupting those using the meeting room or podcast studio to maintain a peaceful and productive environment for all.

Meeting Room and Podcast Studios

Stā Studios' meeting room and podcast studio are exclusive spaces reserved for members with confirmed bookings. As a member, it is your responsibility to adhere to your scheduled time and avoid any delays that could impact subsequent bookings. Please ensure that you exit the room promptly at the end of your booking, leaving it clean and ready for the next member to use.

While the equipment in these rooms is available for your use, it is essential to handle it with care and ensure everything is properly put away after use. Any damaged or missing items may result in charges. Additionally, if you run over your booked time, you will be billed for the extra usage.

Smoking and vaping

Stā Studios maintains a strict no smoking and vaping policy within its premises. Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited within our studio. If you or your clients wish to smoke or vape, we kindly ask that you use the designated smoking areas located in the Lion Plaza complex where Stā Studios is situated.
